The wild and colorful pages of old books are the medium of choice for artist Cara Barer, whose literary sculptures encompass fine art, photography, design and creative innovation. Barer adjusts and molds the pages of old books to create a series of pieces that represent a variety of objects and themes that stand out from an top view perspective against a solid black background. The fluid composition of the sculptures resemble things like butterflies and flowers that appear to move in an intriguing and mystifying fashion. This interesting art concept brings everyday objects to life in imaginative new ways. [via trendland]
