The Ett Hem Hotel located in Stockholm, Sweden merges a bit of history with a strong sense of comfort in this getaway designed by Studio Ilse. This finely-restored structure was originally built in 1910 for a local lord and lady, the work of architect Fredrik Dahlberg. The building has been given a new life with a refreshed interior, an exquisite decoration from suite to common area. The Ett Hem, which translates into “a home” from Swedish, features luxurious, rustic design elements that connect well with the traditional design by Dahlberg. In total, this hotel appears to eschew pretense for comfort, deliberately designing a destination that is as welcoming as its namesake, “a home”. [via yatzer]
