I quote Cameron: “The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion.” Thanks to Bonhams Auctions, the Ferris Bueller Ferrari Modena Spyder California can now be yours for roughly $60,000 USD. This prop car from the famed John Hughes film is now up for sale, open to the buying public. While it is “devastatingly handsome”, it’s sadly not the real 1961 Ferrari 250GT, it was a replica built specifically for the film. Fans of the film will remember the fate this beauty met at the end of the film, but luckily– that was a replica of this replica. Drive this baby wild, and passers by won’t know you’re not piloting a true 250GT. You can boast, however, that this is the very model driven by Ferris and friends in that 1986 blockbuster. [$60,000 at Bonham]
