For a brand that has defined “shaded cool” for nearly 100 years, it’s hard to improve on what you’ve been doing so well for so long.
Yet Persol, the Italian eyewear company, didn’t peak during the years when Steve McQueen couldn’t be seen without a pair of Persols. They’re continuing to show their relevance by reaching back into their own history, and showing why vintage cool will always be atop the trends.
The new Persol Film Noir Edition Eyewear takes some of Persol’s most iconic frames and gives them some special edition styling. Namely, the “gangster”, the “detective”, the “reporter” and the “femme fatale”, a collection of four frames inspired by the characters and iconography of mid-century film noir.
The blacked-out appeal of the Film Noir Edition Eyewear is one thing, but we’re in love with the art deco details apparent in each. We know what we’ll be wearing this summer…
