Design student Mae Yokoyama created this Solar Panel Necklace with an aim to turn “energy into beauty”. Score one for Miss Yokoyama, she clearly succeeded. The Solar Panel Necklace is comprised of a series of small solar panels that power three connected LEDs per unit. It’s big, bold and quite sophisticated, independent even of it’s energy-minded design. We’re a bit curious though– with a necklace so big and seemingly awkward, how does it stay in one place?
